Being a mom is harder than you ever thought it would be.

It comes with feelings that don’t feel like “mom feelings”, and it comes with days that feel darker than you think they should.

I get it, because I’ve been there.

I’m Gloria Niemi - a certified life coach, mom of seven (or seventy hundred. Something along those lines), and a writer. I struggled with depression for the first ten years of being a mom, and I was constantly on the lookout for What’s wrong with me? How do I just be happy?

After years of research, learning, and failing, here’s what I’ve got to report:

  1. There’s nothing wrong with me (or you either).

  2. Happiness starts from within.

When you become a mom, you think it’s just going to be everything that you’ve ever dreamed of and waited for, but in fact it brings up all the hard things that you thought you were over already.

If you want to truly be happy and love your life as a mom, you’re going to need to work through those things so that you can feel like yourself again.

I’m now expecting my eighth, and have so much peace with where I’ve been and the path that’s gotten me here. My days don’t start off feeling overwhelmed, tired or dreading what’s ahead, and it’s very rare that I go to bed at night feeling the same.

I’ve learned what it means to take care of myself, to handle my emotions, to heal and let go of past pains and hurts that I’ve been through, and be able to just be here today. I can genuinely say that I love my life, and I’d love to help you say the same.
